MONTH OF THE YOUNG CHILD

The National Month of the Young Child (MOYC) focuses public attention on the needs of children and their families, particularly the need for quality early childhood education.

Since 1971, April has been established as The Month of the Young Child home across the Nation. The City of San Jose's Office on Child Care and Youth Services has been facilitating Month of teen the Young Child Planning Committee Meetings each year.

The Committee consists of representatives from over twenty local agencies involved with photos child care and children's services. The Committee meets monthly to plan and implement San Jose's Month of the Young Child (MOYC) activites and events which are highlighted by the San Jose Children's Faire, a day of free family fun!
